PowerSync is a fast-growing sync engine that empowers app developers to build category-leading apps. We’re seeking a talented designer who understands the mindset and needs of software developers to lead our brand, web and UI/UX design efforts.

Our team is fully remote, with optional offices in Denver, Colorado, USA and Stellenbosch, South Africa. This role involves ongoing collaboration with team members in US time zones.

About the role:

This role involves mostly brand and web design, with some opportunities to contribute UI/UX design.

In this role, you’ll shape how our brand is perceived across various product and community touchpoints including our website, Discord community, YouTube channel and more. You’ll own the design and development of our website through Webflow. You’ll work closely with Marketing, DevRel and Product teams on projects that could range from managing the design and production of conference banners to developing UI for a demo app.

As the only designer on the team, your work will span end-to-end: from concept to publishing on Webflow or making a PR on GitHub.

What we need:

• Design Expertise: Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Webflow Expertise: Proficiency with Webflow, which we use to build and publish our website.
• Frontend Styling Development: Able to develop and ship HTML and CSS.
• End-to-End Project Management: Owning design from concept to shipped.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Brand Consistency: Strong understanding of branding principles, ensuring a consistent visual identity that can adapt as new needs emerge.
• Attention to Detail: High standards for design quality and consistency across all formats and channels.
